Legal Notice
At Journey Junction Co., we want to be transparent about what we do (and don’t do) as your travel planning partner. Our goal is to provide you with AI-enhanced, human-curated itineraries and travel recommendations in a clear, friendly way. Please review the following disclaimers to understand our role and your responsibilities. We’ve kept the language plain and accessible, reflecting our customer-centric, tech-forward, and transparent ethos.
Planning Service Only (We’re Not a Travel Agency)
Journey Junction Co. is a travel planning service – not a travel agency or booking platform. We specialize in creating digital travel itineraries tailored to you, but we do not book flights, hotels, tours, or other travel services on your behalf. Unlike traditional travel agents, we never make reservations or payments for you. Instead, we empower you with detailed, ready-to-book plans so you can handle your own bookings with confidence. In short, no tickets, no reservations, no commission-driven sales – just personalized planning.
- No Booking Services: Journey Junction does not operate as a booking engine or travel agent. We will never ask for your credit card to reserve a flight, hotel, or tour, because handling reservations is outside our scope. You maintain full control to book or purchase any trip components yourself.
- Independent Advisor: Being planning-only means our role is purely advisory. We don’t own or operate any transportation, accommodation, tour, or activity providers, and we have no vested interest in any particular vendor. This independence ensures that our advice remains unbiased and in your best interest.
Informational Recommendations (For Planning Purposes Only)
All content, itineraries, and recommendations we provide are for general informational and planning purposes only. We design your itinerary to inspire and guide your travel plans, but it is not a guaranteed schedule or a promise of service availability. Travel is dynamic – schedules change, attractions close, and information can become outdated. Always treat our itinerary as a helpful guide, not an infallible blueprint.
- No Guarantees of Accuracy or Availability: We strive to ensure our recommendations are up-to-date and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every detail will remain correct or available. For example, a recommended restaurant might change its hours, a museum could alter its entry requirements, or prices for activities may differ by the time you make arrangements. We provide information “as-is,” without any warranty that it will be error-free or unchanged by real-world updates.
- Double-Check & Verify: Use our itineraries as a starting point for your own research. We encourage you to double-check crucial details – such as opening hours, reservation requirements, or transportation schedules – before making any bookings. It’s wise to verify that nothing has changed (for example, check if a tour is still operating on the intended day) to avoid surprises. In other words, please verify everything before you go.
- Plan at Your Own Discretion: Following our suggestions is completely optional and at your own risk. You should feel free to modify activities or make substitutions as you see fit. There is no guarantee you’ll be able to complete every suggested activity, or that everything will go perfectly – travel often has unexpected twists, and our itinerary is there to help you, not bind you to a strict schedule. Always use your best judgment while traveling.
Third-Party Services and Links (Independent Providers)
In your itinerary, we will recommend or link to various third-party travel providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, transportation services, attractions, etc.) for your convenience. Please note that all such third-party services are outside of Journey Junction’s control – we do not own, operate, or have any official partnership with these providers. Any business you conduct with them (booking, purchasing tickets, etc.) is between you and the third-party company. Here’s what that means for you:
- No Endorsement or Control: We suggest third-party options based on our research and your preferences, but this is not an endorsement or warranty of their services. We can’t guarantee you will have a perfect experience with every external provider. For example, if we recommend a hotel or tour, understand that we’re not vouching for them beyond noting their generally positive reviews or suitability – the final decision (and risk) of choosing them is yours.
- Not Responsible for External Bookings: Journey Junction is not responsible for bookings made on external sites or with other companies. If you book a flight, reserve a hotel, or buy tickets based on our itinerary, that agreement is solely between you and the service provider. We are not a party to your contracts with airlines, hotels, tour operators, or any other vendors, and we cannot intervene or assist if issues arise with those bookings. For instance, if an airline cancels your flight or a hotel is overbooked, you will need to work with that company to resolve it under their policies.
- Third-Party Terms Apply: Each travel provider will have its own terms, conditions, and policies (for reservations, cancellations, refunds, etc.). It’s your responsibility to familiarize yourself with those rules when you book. Journey Junction’s disclaimers here do not replace or modify the terms of any third-party service. Be sure to read confirmation emails, ticket conditions, and any waiver forms that those companies provide, so you know your rights and obligations with them.
- External Links: If our website or itinerary includes links to third-party websites (for example, a booking site or a tourism board page), those links are provided for your convenience. However, we have no control over the content or accuracy of information on external sites. Clicking those links means you’ll be subject to the privacy practices and terms of use of the external site, not Journey Junction’s. We aren’t liable for any content or issues that may arise from visiting or using third-party websites.
No Commissions or Kickbacks (Unbiased Recommendations)
Journey Junction Co. does not earn commissions, referral fees, or kickbacks from any of the travel providers we mention. We want you to know that our suggestions are 100% based on your input and our expertise – not on any payments from hotels, airlines, or tour companies. Our business model is simple: we charge you for the itinerary planning service itself, and nothing else.
- Transparency in Pricing: We believe in clear, upfront pricing with no hidden commissions or incentives influencing our advice. If we list a particular tour or restaurant, it’s because we think you’ll enjoy it or find it valuable – not because we’re getting paid to push it.
- No Affiliate Ties: Journey Junction is vendor-neutral. We do not have any ownership in, or special agreements with, the third parties in your itinerary. We may occasionally provide an affiliate link (for example, to a travel product or booking site) if it’s something we genuinely recommend; however, any such instances will be clearly disclosed. Our priority is your experience, not a commission. (And to reiterate: as of now, we generally operate without any affiliate commissions at all, focusing solely on service fees.)
Client Responsibilities (Your Role as the Traveler)
Working with Journey Junction means you get a curated plan, but you remain the captain of your own trip. Here’s what you are responsible for when using our service:
- Making Your Bookings: Once we deliver your itinerary, it’s up to you to make the actual bookings and purchases for your travel (flights, hotels, tours, tickets, etc.). We do not handle any payments or reservations, so you will need to use the links or information provided to book directly with airlines, hotels, and other operators. Ensure that you receive confirmations for all your reservations and keep records of your bookings.
- Payments and Fees: Any costs associated with your travel (airfares, hotel rates, attraction tickets, etc.) are paid by you directly to those providers. Journey Junction doesn’t collect these payments, and we don’t add any mark-up or fees on top of the prices from providers. Always review the payment details and cancellation terms when you book, as you are responsible for understanding and agreeing to the financial terms of each purchase.
- Travel Documents & Requirements: You are responsible for obtaining and carrying all necessary travel documents and meeting applicable requirements for your trip. This includes having a valid passport (with appropriate validity for international travel), any required visas, driver’s licenses or permits, and complying with any destination-specific rules (like health/vaccination certificates or COVID-related protocols if applicable). Regulations can change, so be sure to check the latest requirements with official sources (e.g., a country’s consulate or travel advisories) well before departure. Journey Junction cannot do this on your behalf and can’t be liable if you are denied travel for lacking proper documentation.
- Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that you consider purchasing travel insurance for your trip. A good travel insurance policy can cover things like trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, or other unexpected disruptions. While we hope everything goes smoothly, having insurance is an important safety net since Journey Junction is not responsible for losses arising from unforeseen events. It’s up to you to evaluate your needs and pick a suitable insurance plan. (Tip: Look for coverage that includes your destinations and activities. If we’ve suggested any adventure activities or remote locations, make sure the policy covers those.)
- During Your Trip: Once your journey begins, you are in charge of following the itinerary (as much or as little as you wish). Be mindful of timing if you have scheduled tours or transportation – give yourself ample time to get from place to place. Keep an eye on local news or updates (like weather conditions or strikes) that might affect your plans. While we’re happy to have provided a plan, the execution is in your hands, and staying flexible will help you navigate any travel day surprises.
Limitation of Liability (Things We’re Not Liable For)
Using our services signifies your agreement that Journey Junction Co. cannot be held liable for issues that may arise during your travels. We provide a planning service, but we are not responsible for events beyond delivering your itinerary and advice. Travel involves inherent risks and variables, and by using our itineraries you accept that responsibility for your travel choices and experiences is ultimately yours.
- Travel Outcomes: Journey Junction cannot accept liability for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or inconvenience that may occur during your trip. This includes (but isn’t limited to) incidents like illnesses or injuries on your vacation, theft of personal property, missed flights or connections, cancellations by a tour operator, natural disasters, or any other travel mishaps. We are not with you on your trip, so we can’t prevent or be responsible for things that happen on the ground.
- Third-Party Acts or Omissions: As noted, any third-party travel services in your itinerary are outside our control. Therefore, we are not liable for the actions, errors, or failures of any airline, hotel, tour guide, transportation company, or other travel supplier. If a tour operator fails to deliver a service or an airline changes its schedule, we sympathize, but we aren’t responsible for those changes or any resulting costs. Your recourse in such situations is with the provider under their policies (for example, seeking a refund or alternate arrangement from the airline or hotel).
- Personal Decisions: Any personal decisions you make based on our recommendations are at your own discretion and risk. For instance, if we suggest a hiking trail and you choose to go, you assume responsibility for evaluating your own fitness and the conditions on the day of the hike. Always exercise common sense and caution – our tips do not replace your own judgment or due diligence.
- No Consequential Damages: In plain language, that means Journey Junction will not be responsible for any indirect costs or consequential losses. For example, if a recommended activity being closed leads you to change plans and incur extra expense, or if a mistake in an itinerary detail causes you inconvenience, we will not cover those costs. Our liability, to the fullest extent allowed by law, is limited to the fees you paid for the planning service, if anything. (However, we certainly aim to avoid mistakes and help you avoid extra costs!)
- Use at Your Own Risk: Ultimately, using our itinerary and website is at your own risk and discretion. We hope our work enhances your trip, but if you’re unhappy or uncomfortable with any suggestion, you are free not to follow it. Your safest course is to use our information as a friendly guide and double-check anything critical – that way, you’re well-informed and prepared. By proceeding to use our services, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to this disclaimer and will not hold Journey Junction Co. liable for how your trip actually unfolds.
AI-Enhanced, Human-Curated Service (Transparency Note)
We pride ourselves on being a tech-forward company that blends artificial intelligence with human expertise to plan your travels. It’s part of what makes Journey Junction special. However, we also want to be clear about what that means for you:
- AI + Human Planning: We use advanced AI tools to help generate itinerary ideas and options, which are then carefully reviewed and customized by our human travel experts. This hybrid approach allows us to be efficient and creative, but it’s not a crystal ball. Please understand that any AI-generated suggestions are still just suggestions – our team refines and verifies information, but you should treat the end results with the same care you would any travel advice (i.e., verify details that are important to you).
- Potential AI Limitations: AI is great for crunching data and spitting out recommendations quickly, but it doesn’t know you personally or guarantee accuracy on its own. While we do our best to fact-check everything, there’s always a small chance an AI-curated recommendation might be outdated or not perfectly suited until a human reviews it. Rest assured, we always have a travel specialist check the itinerary to align it with your needs and current information. Even so, if something seems off or mismatched to you, let us know – feedback helps us improve.
- Continuous Improvement: Because we use AI, our service is continually learning and improving. We aim to provide cutting-edge travel planning, but we also value the personal touch and judgment that only experienced human travelers can provide. If you ever have questions about why we recommended something or need to adjust a detail, we’re here to help. Transparency is key – we’ll gladly explain our thought process and update your itinerary as needed, so you feel comfortable and informed.
By using Journey Junction Co.’s website and itinerary services, you confirm that you understand and agree to all the points above. Our team is dedicated to helping you plan an amazing trip, and these disclaimers are here to ensure we have a clear, mutual understanding of how our service works. We believe that this clarity – delivered in plain language – is part of what makes our relationship with clients strong and trustworthy. If you have any questions about these disclaimers or any aspect of our service, please contact us – we’re always happy to chat. Safe travels and happy planning!
